I’ve watched my sister look at her kids for the very first time and I recently just witnessed one of my best friends with her newborn. It’s amazing. I can only imagine what parents must feel…

I grew up on a farm & spent a lot of time outside. As the summer starts fading into the autumn, you see gorgeous sunsets, fireflies, dragonflies and more. This song takes me back to a place when I was younger, trying to figure out who I wanted to be in this world.

This song is for all those girls waiting around & hoping to connect.

That’s why I’m super excited to share this track with you and even more jazzed about finishing the entire album. Join me in making an album of original tunes!

I’ve always been penning my own songs since I was a wee one growing up on the farm in MN. As I’ve been in NYC for several years acting and singing “other people’s songs,” I’ve decided now is the time to share my own musical creations! So I’m making a record and I need your help so I can share my music with YOU!

Making an album takes a lot of time and collaborative effort from a slew of talented folks. It also… [bum-ba-dah] costs money.

You might be thinking, “Oh my, Makenzie, that’s a big number you’re looking to raise!” Well my friends, it’s really only half of what we need but we are scrappy creatives and know how to make amazing things on a small budget.

Here’s the BREAKDOWN:

There are recording fees, musician fees, mixing, mastering fees, not to mention the financial undertaking of making a music video, packaging the cd and publicizing it for the world to take notice. (Or at least a certain audience who might enjoy my music but just haven’t heard it yet!)

In return for your dollars, I’d like to share and collaborate through this entire experience with photos, videos and updates. I’ll also give you one-of-a-kind, personal creations from me to you to express my gratitude and appreciation for your spirit and support! –––––>

The following scene takes place in a lounge where my character is singing “Whispering Wicked” (music & lyrics by Andrew Fox, the genius at the keys of the grand piano). The other fine actors in order of appearance are: Christopher Birk, Neville Archambault & Adam Griffith. There is a bit of drama happening between my character and the others. That’s all I’m saying! No spoiler here.
